Im leery about purchasing the full filter/toolkit for $10.99!
Im cheap, and nothing could be further from the truth! Im married, mid 40s, kids, mortgage and car payments, both with steady jobs and two young sons that are doing well, scholastically & activities (sports year round, clubs & camps -- Ive not a clue how those of you with >2 kids do it!! Im drained @ end of day lol I digress. Im NOT cheap, but Im responsible with my money. That said, Ive got a ten & eight year old. Both boys. Both dig technology; not just console gaming --- but two is cool in that theyve figured out opposing views is a smart move, as they can double their money on holidays/birthdays! One insists PlayStation mops the floor with anything MS related, the other is hard core XBox all day. OS X all week -- as hes the older of the two and just about to turn 11 (a week) in his fifth grade year ... loves his Macs and his school mandates a laptop w/Google or Apples office suites this coming year (6th grade in preparation for junior high) both for responsibility sake as well, its a heck of a lot cheaper for the district, eliminating all the paper, white boards, etc and using a computer themselves with the cool smart boards --- allowing the kids to present to the class their projects. Theyre free with whichever - OS X or Windows and both boys are iOS geeks (I kid, as thats the point. Dad is the ultimate geek and LOVES technology--w/2 kids and their passion, Moms in a tough position to say NO! --- although, she does indeed exercise that option. Often!!!) and weve come full circle.
My eldest son adores this app. Specifically. This. Photography. App. For both. His still and motion shots. Hes currently building a cool multimedia project/presentation using a combination of his iPhone, my DSLR, his iPad and MacBook for editing with iMovie and GarageBand for his audio. He insists THIS specific in app purchase is what he needs to complete his project properly! Honest quote
Im hesitant as theres about four dozen reviews seemingly since its last update (probably +/- a hundred or two. Cant remember actually) --- ALL very positive and 4/5 stat ratings. As recently as last week, the reviews run the gamut as far as when they were reviewed.
I bring this up because since that update weve seen a significant iOS update as well as polishing point updates
New hardware and camera capabilities both on still shots as well -- the obvious -- video
Capture -- yet its been nearly 17 months since its latest update. October, I believe. Possibly November 2014! Photog apps are typically updated quite often - or
At least once a year to keep
Up with the updates to the core system and hardware developments. Especially photo because of the HW enhancements to the iPhone each year.
Anyway --
Im NOT cheap and if the eleven bucks is whats necessary to get that elusive A
Im All In!!! Just think it should be updated!
Once again. That said. Ive yet to find anything not working on it on his iPhone 6s. I have a 6s+ so Ive yet to try it to check out its optimization to the larger iPhones.
But there are SO many choices in the App Store. Many made and updated and kept current ...their Genesis, after this guy was updated last!
Im leaving four stars because its lack of support/update/maintenance
Four solid stars for its performance -- according to my kid;)
PS -- if its this good I need to be using it! Lol
